Just finished my 1st week away from all-things-nursing-school and I can honestly say I am bored to death. Slept the first couple days and now am like, "Huh?"
Have been on a book buying spree--school books and a couple summer reads. And have been scrapbooking and organizing all my pics on snapfish. Yeah. B-O-R-I-N-G. When my kids were home I always managed to stay busy, so now I remember one of my reasons for going back to school: I could never be a SAHM w/ kids in school. I go batty. No one to talk to, nothing much to do...but clean and cook. Um, love to cook EXOTIC stuff my fam won't eat, and dislike cleaning with a vehement passion. So I do both out of necessity and not love.
I like to be busy--it seems I was born and bred that way (my family are the busiest, most chaotic people in the world)and unfortunately I am not slowing down much as I get older. Kinda wish I could be more content with like bird watching or something, but honestly, that is just not who I am.
Yep, I am VERY glad I decided to take a class this summer. And I have started doing NCLEX questions and reviewing. Gotta put together some stuff for graduation and go to a couple class meetings. Go on a trip next week and then another at the end of July and hopefully a family vacation thrown in there. And have a couple holidays here and there that should keep me socialized...
Remind me of this next semester when I am freaking out and am TOO busy. I like craziness, I like stress, I like chaos, I like mayhem...I am a freak.

You crack me up! Isn't it positively weird not having all the stress to worry about? During the semster it's go, go, go and now that we've got time to spare we have to find stuff to keep busy!
Hey Prisca - I started another subscriber-only blog. I know you read Nursing Student Hell regularly. If you want me to add you to my readership, shoot me an email at Marisapan1@Gmail.com.
I'm glad you're done for the semester, but can totally relate to your ambiguous feelings about having too much time on your hands!
