Math Woes and the Elusive BSN

I think I posted somewhere on here that my school has upped their math requirement-you need to test into Math 110 (College Algebra) and not Math 40 which is Intermediate Algebra.

So I started thinking about working on my BSN and decided I would pick up a couple classes over the summer since my Finaid is in and everything. Since I only tested into Math 40 (I know you are scared of me now), I indeed have to take it before I can progress to college algebra and then on to statistics--both of which I need as pre-reqs for BSN-land. My school also required a cellular biology class OR chemistry for the ADN and I took the "easier" of the two--so now I need chem as well. I also need a nutrition class.

Registered yesterday for Nutrition (online class) and Math 40. I thought about taking the summer off but honestly I go bonkers when I do that sort of thing, so I will knock out these classes and then next spring take either Chem or College Algebra or both. I also have the summer 2008 for statistics or whatever. The university I am looking into will admit me into the BSN with statistics left so next fall I can start that whole process. I'd love to finish my BSN by 2010--we will see, huh?

Ok, gotta go to school and take some pre-tests, make notecards and read my butt off in my med/surg text. Blech. I'd rather work on my scrapbook.

Good luck with your BSN. It sounds liks you have a plan all worked out for the next two summers. Nutrition was easy and stats is boring but you have to keep up with the course load b/c if you get behind there is NO catching up. It will definately be worth it to get it all knocked out in the next few years.

I'm graduating with my BSN this June and will be so glad to be finally DONE with chasing kids and juggling a full time BSN course load.
