Stuff about school...

Do you ever have days when nursing school just seems kinda natural and goes so well that you forget how hard it is and actually enjoy it?

I had a really good day that started out with an A (92%) on my Peds exam and a really positive evaluation on my Peds clinical--which I have officially passed. I had A LOT of MAJOR stress last semester and that experience has me waiting for the same feeling this time around BUT it just hasn't played out that way. Everyone told me this was the hardest semester, and maybe it is, but perhaps I have also learned to manage the stress better? I have also started studying differently.

Instead of memorizing everything, I have started asking, "Why?" When I put the all the "WHY'S" together (like a puzzle) during a test or in clinical, the answer is just around the corner. I guess this is what critical thinking is, and I am starting to get the hang of it, finally.

Guess I am just in a good space now--and not so pressured to be perfect. Meanwhile I am back on weight wtachers and love being back in "control" of what I am eating. I need to get exercising again.

For posterity: the highlight from my eval:
"You're paperwork blew me away! I hope you don't mind, I made copies and want to use it as class examples if that's ok w/ you."
