0200, 0300, 0400, 0500, 0520, 0523, 0530, 0541...

Woke up a million times last night--I don't know why I get so worried that I am going to wake up late for clinical what with the two alarm clocks I set and my anxiety to keep me on time...

Had a frantic search for my name-badge last night and found it conveniently clipped to one of my scrub tops. This was AFTER getting my poor husband involved--I just love him. He puts up with a lot of my disorganization and freak-outs. And he lets me talk about mundane nursing school stuff.

Last night I told him all about the new drama in student council (SC)involving old news: one of our classmates failing from my clinical group. We had agreed on SC NOT to say anything about this person's failure as it is her business--but of course everyone found out in various different ways anyway.

Yesterday, the failed classmate accused a SC memeber of calling people and telling them her whole situation--it is kind of a long story, but everyone is calling for everyone else to step down from council. It is quite ridiculous...and I have kept my mouth closed and head down.

The only problem is that I found out yesterday that is was my peds clinical instructor that told her last group of students about failing this girl??? One of my classmates came up to me and stated she WAS NOT called by anyone, instead, my old CI told the whole story at dinner during clinicals.

Um. Oh boy. Yeah, so do I tell anyone else this? I just REALLY want to stay out of everything but this info would save an SC members butt--it is all so stinking stupid.

The funny thing is that the failed student was failed for "unprofessionalism."

How professional is it for a CI to tell other students that they failed someone from the current class, give names and specifics? SOOOOOO not cool.

Ok, off to computer training and then it is on to paperwork hell. YIPPEE! 4 more weeks baby!

Probably need to keep your head down. I know that's wrong, but it looks like CYA is the game played in your school. Bummer. The CI is a turd, but no way a student is going to win when there are a million students, and a HUGE demand for instructors.
